Installing Flo as a Mobile App

Flo is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that can be installed on your phone or tablet for a native app-like experience — no app store needed.

Benefits of Installing​

  • Full-screen experience — No browser address bar
  • Home screen icon — Quick access like a native app
  • Faster loading — Cached assets for instant startup
  • Offline support — Basic functionality when offline
  • Automatic updates — The app updates in the background

Installation on Android (Chrome)​

  1. Open the Flo URL in Chrome
  2. You may see an automatic install prompt — tap Installa (Install)
  3. If no prompt appears:
    • Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top right
    • Select "Aggiungi a schermata Home" (Add to Home Screen)
    • Tap Installa (Install)
  4. The Flo icon will appear on your home screen

Installation on iPhone/iPad (Safari)​

  1. Open the Flo URL in Safari (required — other browsers don't support PWA installation on iOS)
  2. Tap the Share button (square with arrow)
  3. Scroll down and tap "Aggiungi a schermata Home" (Add to Home Screen)
  4. Tap Aggiungi (Add)
  5. The Flo icon will appear on your home screen

On iOS, Flo must be installed through Safari. Chrome and other browsers on iOS don't support PWA installation.

Installation on Desktop (Chrome/Edge)​

  1. Open the Flo URL in Chrome or Edge
  2. Look for the install icon (⊕) in the address bar
  3. Click Installa (Install)
  4. The app opens in its own window

App Updates​

Flo checks for updates automatically every 6 hours. When an update is available:

  • The app downloads it in the background
  • On next launch, the new version is active
  • You can also check manually from Account > Aggiornamenti

If you encounter issues after an update, try:

  1. Close and reopen the app
  2. Clear the app data from your device settings
  3. Reinstall from the browser

Uninstalling​

Android​

  • Long-press the Flo icon on your home screen
  • Drag to Rimuovi (Remove) or select Disinstalla (Uninstall)

iOS​

  • Long-press the Flo icon
  • Tap Rimuovi segnalibro (Remove Bookmark)

Desktop​

  • Open the Flo app
  • Click the three-dot menu in the title bar
  • Select Disinstalla (Uninstall)
